Proverbs 20:1

“ Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.”

--WARNING THIS IS WIP, NOT A LOT SCRIPTURE RIGHT NOW--

Clean living is important for a Christian. We have many verses in the Bible that inform us of this. However as the apostasy religious grows so do the heresies. As Ephesians 5:6-11 tells us

“6. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience."

"7. Be not ye therefore partakers with them."

"8. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:"

"9. (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)"

"10. Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord."

"11. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."

"12. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret."

But what are these unfruitful works of darkness? Well they are described in Galatians 5:19-21 Just before the the fruit of the spirit is described.

“19. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,"

“20. Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,"

"21. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."

(Confession, the works of darkness I am most tempted by are hatred,wrath,strife, and fornication.)

Hmm notice it mentions drunkedness. Alcohol, social drinkers, Jesus partook in wine. Ya-ya-ya. Make your excuses all you want. The bible condemns alcohol from A to L. Ephesians 5:18

“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;”

The only place in scripture where it mentions partaking in alcohol also happens to condemn it.

Proverbs 31:4-7

"4. It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:"

"5. Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted."

"6. Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts."

“7. Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more."

Alcohol is the morphine of old times. You pump them up so they don’t feel the pain as they wither away.

Don’t have sex with whores. Sex is not evil, Adam and Eve did live together before and after the fall. How do you think we populate the earth? Read Genesis 4:1

“And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.”

(Remember the Adam knew Eve part.) Marriage is holy. God created it that way.

Proverbs 18:22 “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD."

So when we try to do things that do not align with God’s creation. Oh does he get mad.

Genesis 19:

Ver 4 “But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:"

Ver 5 “And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them."

Ver 24 “Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;"

Ver 25 "And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground."

An entire city of young and old men wanted to “know” the angels. (Remember the Adam knew Eve part.) That was not apart of God’s plan. He did not create men to “know” angels. Notice how much I am emphasizing know. In Genesis 24:16 (and 4:1) The bible hints that this is an innuendo for some un-virgin-fing activity.

"16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up."}

Cussing is hated by God. But so is vain words, Flattery, Gossip, and any thing else that is not good with a tongue.
